Hina Matsuri
A doll festival that has exhibits dating back as far as the 1700s.
4 April   Human Chess Festival
Set among the Cherry blossoms you can watch a game of Shogi being played on a giant chess board with people dressed as samurai or ladies maids representing the pieces.

Tendo Cherry Day
You don't want to miss this opportunity to taste Tendo's delicious cherries.

Tendo Safflower Festival
Admire the beautiful flowers and if you wish, try your hand at safflower dyeing. 
8 August   Tendo Summer Festival (Hanagasa)
This event, which involves wonderful dancing, is held on Tendo's main street.
Tendo Kogen Festival
An occasion for the whole family to taste locally made beef and wine.

Enjoy making and eating large bowls of soup containing potatoes, meat, etc, by the riverside. 
10 October   Tendo Autumn Festival
Admire the changing of the leaves in Tendo's beautiful parks.
11 November   Shogi Contest
12 December   Tendo Kogen Ski Resort (Open)
With excellent powder as well as night skiing, it is an excellent place to bring the family.
